COAL CAMP CHURCH

Bring a little of the old into your wedding day...as you begin your new life together. Make lasting memories by having your ceremony in our coal camp church.

The church is located in New River Park on the property of the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine.

*Cost of rental is $300.00
*$50.00 of rental must be paid down as a deposit 2 weeks prior to the event
*Time includes decorating, rehearsal, and wedding
*100 guest maximum
*Rehearsals can be held after 6:00 pm on evening before event:

*Alterations allowed to suit your needs:

1. The pulpit can be moved back or even removed from the stage. The pulpit can be used as a stand for the guest book if you chose. Also the flags located on the stage can be moved to the back of the church.

2. The velvet rope stands can be removed to the back door entrance to block off the stage area and allow people to go down the steps toward their seats.

3. Measurements and layout of the church are provided to assist you with decorations and preparations.

4. We have a sign to close the church. It is up to you to designate a person to let your guest into through. The sign is usually put an hour before the event during our open hours. Sunday-Monday 10:00am-6:00pm.

5. The bride can get ready in the office located only a short walk to the church. If the bride would like the guest to enter the church by way of the handicapp entrance, this leaves the foyer clear for the maid of honor, bride maids and the bride to wait until the guest have arrived are seated. There is a door that separates the main room from the foyer, or you may choose for the guest to enter the church through the front door and you the bride may wait the office until time for you to go to the church.

6. There is a piano located in the church, which is tuned every year, you are welcome to use. There are electrical outlets positioned along the stage area as well.

7. The church is heated by gas in the winter months.
