Chagall. . . for Children
02/05/10 - 08/25/10
The exhibition captivates visitors with the artwork, and the artist, through 14 interactive elements. Children are encouraged to explore this multi-sensory exhibit by exploring the interactive elements through varying media and art principles such as color, composition, light and texture. With more than a dozen reproductions of the famous Impressionists' masterpieces, all accompanied by hands-on interactive elements that allow children to explore their own creativity, children will be able to spend hours learning and playing from this exhibit. At different stations throughout the exhibit, visitors can create mosaics, use touch screens to digitally alter Chagall's masterpieces, weave tapestries, and through the magic of video, they can even insert themselves into one of his paintings. Along with the stimulating visual and interactive components, geared towards children ages 2 –12, the Chagall exhibit is also equipped with audio dialogue at each station of the exhibit. The audio asks visitors questions about each individual piece, records visitor's answers and allows them to listen to answers others have responded with. Chagall for Children will spark the creative imagination of kids and parents alike. |
